• Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting techniques. The Dental Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including dental receptionist tasks. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging as required. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient management. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with knowledge of child behavior management techniques. Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience in a dental clinic setting, demonstrating proficiency in the following areas: Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology. Experience with various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Proficiency in using 3D scanners and other dental technology. Knowledge of medical coding, medical records management, and documentation practices. Previous experience working with EMR systems such as Epic is a plus.
