Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) specializing in endodontic procedures to join our dynamic Endodontic team. This vital role combines advanced chairside assisting with expanded functions that support efficient, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced endodontic office. You will play an essential part in delivering comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Assist the endodontist during complex procedures such as root canals, apicoectomies, and other endodontic treatments using aseptic techniques and proper infection control protocols Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations Take high-quality dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining patient safety and comfort Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records in EMR systems like MacPractice, Sidexis, Claio AI, DS Core and documenting procedures accurately Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout treatment to ensure a positive experience Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless four-handed dentistry and effective communication among staff members Qualifications Certified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with experience in endodontics or general dentistry preferred Proficient in dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures Skilled in using EMR systems such as MacPractice, Sidexis, Claio AI, DS Core for dental documentation and records management Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols within a dental clinic setting Experience with dental X-ray techniques, including digital radiography and cone beam 3D scanners preferred Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus for managing pediatric patients effectively Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional endodontic care! $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
