Position:
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate will have the ability and confidence to manage a dental chair independently, providing high-quality care to our young patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform expanded dental assistant functions as per state regulations. Independently manage dental chairside operations during patient treatments. Assist the dentist in various dental procedures, specifically tailored for pediatric patients. Prophy's + Fluoride Application X-rays (PA'S and Bitewings) on children. Sealants Chairside assistance for fillings, extractions and pulpotomies +SSC Help in preparing the treatment room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for each patient. Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients and their caregivers. Assist with front office tasks as needed, including patient scheduling and records management.
Requirements:
Certification as a Dental Assistant; additional certification for Expanded Functions required Current X-ray certification. Minimum 1 years of experience in a pediatric dental setting. Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Bilingual in Spanish required
