Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cross-Trained Dental Assistant / Front Desk to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player who is comfortable working both chairside and at the front desk. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication, and proficiency in Eaglesoft. Candidates should be knowledgeable in implant procedures, crown and bridge work, dental insurance, and scheduling. We are willing to work with you to make sure you are proficient in our office.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical (Back Office)
Duties:
Assist the dentist during all phases of dental procedures, including implants, crown and bridge, fillings, and hygiene recall visits. Prepare, sterilize, and organize treatment rooms and instruments. Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images. Pour and trim models, take impressions, and assist with lab work as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes in Eaglesoft. Ensure infection control compliance and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
Front Duties:
Greet and check in/out patients with a friendly, professional attitude. Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently in Eaglesoft. Verify dental insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations when needed. Process treatment plans, collect payments, and manage patient accounts. Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and ensure smooth daily operations. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options, financials, and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of dental experience (cross-trained front/back ideal) Willing to train with the right candidate Proficiency in Eaglesoft dental software (required). Strong knowledge of implant procedures, crown and bridge, and general dental assisting. Experience with dental insurance verification, billing, and scheduling. Dental Assistant certification or state-required credentials. Current CPR/BLS certification. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and patient-focused approach..
