Job Description

We are a private, top-rated general dentistry office and we are looking for a dental assistant to join our team! We have two locations in Lauderdale by the Sea and Margate. With hundreds of 5-star reviews, we are looking for a dental assistant who takes pride in their work and delivering 5-star care. This is more than just filling a position for us we're looking for someone who wants to grow with our practice and be a valued part of our team long-term. Someone who communicates well, is dependable, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, patient focused environment will do well here. We're a small, close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together. We support each other, communicate openly, and take pride in creating a positive, welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. What We're Looking For Minimum 6 months of dental assisting experience and/or completion of an expanded functions dental assistant program Willingness to commute to both Margate and Lauderdale by the Sea (primarily Lauderdale by the Sea) Positive, professional attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset Excellent chairside manner with the ability to help patients feel comfortable, calm, and well cared for Solid understanding of dental procedures and confidence in explaining treatment Ability to accurately chart during exams while assisting the dentist Experience managing clinical inventory and maintaining an organized back office Strong time management and the ability to stay composed and focused in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills including the ability to collaborate effectively with the front office and step in when needed to resolve challenges Patient centered approach rooted in evidence-based dentistry, with initiative in helping patients understand and connect with their treatment plans. Experience with Expanded Functions, 3D scanners, and dental billing codes is a plus CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) What You'll Do Assist the dentist during procedures and exams to ensure smooth workflow Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Accurately record patient vitals and medical histories Educate patients on oral health, treatment plans, and post-op care Help patients understand recommended treatments using clear, relatable communication Manage patient records using Open Dental Maintain a clean, compliant, and efficient clinical environment Oversee inventory and ordering of dental supplies Keep the back office running smoothly and efficiently What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Paid time off, holidays, and sick pay Bonus and commission opportunities Employee dental care + friends & family discounts A supportive, professional, and compassionate team environment Real opportunities for growth within the practice
