Dental Assistant Viera Dental Arts Melbourne, FL Job Details Part-time $21 - $26 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Dental insurance Employee discount Qualifications Image acquisition for patient care HIPAA Administrative experience X-Ray Certification Medical administrative support Dental terminology Operating medical imaging equipment Clerical experience EFDA Certification Full Job Description Overview Our office is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to assist with dental procedure 2 -3 days per week. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records accurately using Eaglesoft; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures using dental terminology in an understandable way, and addressing their questions or concerns. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards. Collaborate with the dental team to streamline workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques and efficient chairside assisting. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, collecting payments, managing medical records, and supporting the dental receptionist when needed. Fabricating temporary crown(s) and bridge(s). Take and pour alginate impressions. Materials/supplies ordering and inventory in an economical manner. Maintain accurate patient record.
Desired Skills:
Eaglesoft knowledge. Experience taking dental radiographs. Organization, set up, and clean up of treatment areas. At least 5 years experience desired but we are willing to train the right candidate. EFDA Certification (Required) -if you are an out of state applicant we can guide you on how to obtain this. X-ray Certification (Required) CPR training Must be able to pass a background check (Required)Salary:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hourSchedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (7:45AM - 5PM) Friday (7:45AM-3PM)Closed Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday Benefits:
