The successful candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. This role is vital in delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry and specialized fields such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental procedures, and a commitment to patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials in accordance with aseptic techniques Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations Support administrative tasks including dental reception duties, appointment scheduling, and patient communication Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment is sterilized and properly maintained Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions Assist with advanced procedures utilizing 3D scanners and other modern dental technology Collaborate effectively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care Qualifications Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification. DANB certification required or willing to obtain. 1 year experience within the past three years. Proven experience in general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is advantageous Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for medical documentation and records management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Familiarity with medical coding systems relevant to dental procedures and documentation Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and external providers Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene Join our team as a Registered Dental Assistant if you are committed to advancing your career in a supportive environment that values professionalism, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care.
