Duties Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and efficiency Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system such as Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, vital signs, and medical documentation to support optimal patient outcomes Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control standards and proper sterilization procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, experience with medical imaging and 3D scanners is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety and comfort Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages; ability to explain procedures clearly Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality is essential This role offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact patient health and happiness.
