The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role involves assisting the dentist in various procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth operation within the dental clinic. A background in pediatric dentistry or experience with EMR systems is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a high level of patient comfort and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment documentation. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including medical documentation and coding. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient information. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques is essential. Experience with medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation.
