Job Overview •To be considered for this position, applicants must have at least 2 years of verifiable work experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator and or assistant manager. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of dental terminology, Dentrix, and insurance billing. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plans and ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to financial arrangements. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster patient trust and satisfaction. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional patient service, possesses strong medical administrative expertise, and is eager to contribute to a positive dental care environment. Knowledge of financial companys and Dentrix a must. Responsibilities Coordinate patient appointments, treatment plans, and follow-up care efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing with systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Review and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Communicate treatment options clearly to patients, explaining procedures, costs, and payment plans with enthusiasm and clarity Assist patients with financial arrangements, including billing inquiries, payment options, and pre-authorizations for procedures Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; schedule appointments and respond promptly to patient inquiries Maintain organized dental records, file documentation accurately, and support front desk operations with clerical tasks such as data entry and filing Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences Stay current on dental terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 codes for diagnoses, and Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements Requirements Proven experience in a dental office environment or clinic setting with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding practices Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms; experience with Epic, Meditech or Athenahealth is a plus Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Ability to review medical documentation accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, intake procedures, or front desk operations preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dental terminology,.
