In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing chairside procedures, assisting with dental treatments, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your ability to handle administrative tasks and ensure infection control, will help create a welcoming environment where pediatric patients feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Perform chairside assisting with skills such as taking high-quality dental imaging, and applying aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of safety. Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting with front desk responsibilities as a dental receptionist when needed. Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding to accurately document procedures and facilitate seamless communication within the team. Requirements Valid Dental Assistant certification or equivalent licensure. Minimum 1 year proven experience in pediatric dentistry preferred . Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside support, X-ray procedures, and infection control practices. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental for managing dental records and documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
