In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive patient experience and uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to comprehensive oral health. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing efficient four-handed dentistry support. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans to promote overall dental health. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Collaborate with the dental team including receptionists and hygienists to ensure seamless clinic operations and excellent patient service. Be able to scan with iTero and design crowns and onlays with Glidewell i.o. look out for cases and aligners be able to place attachments and educate patients on aligners. Skills Proficiency with Opendental software Pay attention to details, Be realiable and punctial Bring your best attitude to the work environment to ensure a smooth day. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry as well as specialized fields like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Competence in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology relevant to dental care. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when coordinating appointments or explaining procedures to patients. Knowledge of medical documentation standards including medical records management and coding practices for insurance purposes.
