Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while following strict aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding efficiently Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary to support patient health assessments Support the dental receptionist in scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic for managing medical records and documentation Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile clinical environment Experience with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays (including 3D scans), and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with dental terminology related to general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Ability to operate dental equipment such as intraoral cameras, medical imaging devices, and digital X-ray machines safely and effectively Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members like dental receptionists and hygienists while providing compassionate patient care This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dentistry while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
