Dental Assistant Dentistry of East Colonial Orlando, FL Job Details Full-time $23 - $27 an hour Benefits Dental insurance Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Spanish Customer communication Dental assisting HIPAA English Dental terminology Certified Dental Assistant Full Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced assistant who is comfortable in both clinical assisting and patient education/treatment coordination , while helping create an efficient, productive schedule and exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate should be experienced with Open Dental software, intraoral scanning, temporary crown fabrication, treatment presentation, and dental insurance understanding .
Responsibilities:
Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, crown and bridge, extractions, root canals, removable prosthetics, and implant-related treatment Fabricate and adjust high-quality temporary crowns and bridges Perform intraoral scanning for crowns, bridges, aligners, and restorative treatment Capture high-quality radiographs, intraoral photos, and clinical documentation Enter charting, treatment notes, and clinical information accurately in Open Dental Present treatment plans and educate patients regarding recommended care Help patients understand financing, sequencing of treatment, and insurance coverage Maintain a working understanding of dental insurance benefits, limitations, frequencies, missing tooth clauses, waiting periods, and patient co-pays Support schedule productivity through effective communication and patient follow-up Maintain operatory efficiency, sterilization, inventory awareness, and clinical organization Deliver an exceptional patient experience with professionalism and compassion
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years dental assisting experience preferred Experience with Open Dental software strongly preferred Comfortable with intraoral scanners (iTero, Medit, CEREC, Trios, etc.) Strong ability in temporary crown fabrication and adjustment Understanding of treatment planning and patient presentation Knowledge of dental insurance and treatment estimates Strong communication and customer service skills Bilingual English/Spanish preferred EFDA/Expanded Functions experience is a plus Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, productive dental environment
