Are you currently an experienced cross-trained dental assistant? Are you a current dental assistant interested in cross-training? If so, we're looking for YOU! We are a long-established private practice, family-owned and operated. We are honored to have been caring for multi-generations of College Park and greater Orlando families for decades, and excited for the decades to come. We are looking for a highly organized and dedicated dental assistant with experience as a receptionist, or willingness to learn. This role will be fluid and would require flexibility as each day may look differently (how exciting!). This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in multitasking and understands their value overall in different capacities. What You'll Be Doing - Scheduling & Front Office Responsibilities This position places a strong emphasis on scheduling efficiency and practice flow. You'll be responsible for: Managing and optimizing the daily schedule for maximum productivity and patient satisfaction Scheduling hygiene and restorative appointments appropriately Confirming appointments and maintaining a full schedule Managing cancellations, no-shows, and last-minute openings Coordinating treatment appointments and multi-appointment treatment plans Working recall and reactivation systems Answering phones with professionalism and warmth Greeting patients and creating a positive first impression Checking patients in and out Processing payments and discussing financial arrangements Presenting treatment plans and coordinating treatment acceptance Maintaining accurate patient records Managing patient communications via phone, email, and text Coordinating referrals and specialist appointments Assisting with administrative reports and daily office operations Dental Assisting Responsibilities When clinical support is needed, you'll also help our team by: Preparing treatment rooms for patient care Seating and preparing patients for treatment Assisting the dentists during procedures Taking dental radiographs (X-rays) Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control protocols Setting up and breaking down operatories Taking impressions, scans, photographs, and other records as permitted Providing patient education and post-operative instructions Assisting with restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures Managing clinical supplies and inventory Maintaining accurate clinical documentation Helping create a comfortable and positive patient experience throughout treatment If you're the type of person who gets satisfaction from a perfectly organized schedule, enjoys helping patients feel welcome, and doesn't mind putting on gloves to assist chairside when needed, we'd love to hear from you.
