Job Description

Job Overview Our office is growing and we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Open Dental is a plus, being Bilingual English and Spanish, as well as being cross trained with some administrative skills. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as needed. Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, applying fluoride treatments, and assisting with sealants. Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently. Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary. Provide education to patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth operations within the clinic. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with dental software such as Open Dental. Knowledge of Implant/Surgery dentistry practices is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation. Ability to assist in various dental specialties including surgeries and general dentistry. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
