Our ideal candidate will be an experienced chair-side assistant that flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a flexible attitude, and has a patient-centric mindset. Experience with temporary crowns is a must with additional experience with Itero Scanners and Invisalign a plus! Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year chair side dental assisting experience, with additional years of experience a PLUS. This is a full-time position working: Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday & Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional Friday's as needed 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We offer a fun and collaborative work environment where everyone is treated with respect and like family. Responsibilities Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients. Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort. Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment. Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry, especially with temporary crowns, root canals and extractions. Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed. Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient's chart. Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed. Assist with other office duties as requested or needed Skills Knowledge of temporary crown process a must! Knowledge in Itero Scanning and Invisalign is a plus! Knowledge of Eaglesoft is welcomed! Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods General understanding of health & safety regulations and the importance it plays in patient and staff safety Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach. Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule. Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule. Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills. Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily. Great attention to detail and follow through. Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedure High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred X-ray certified
