Position Summary:
The Dental Assistant plays a dual role in our practice. This individual will assist the dentist during clinical procedures while also supporting the front office with responsibilities including scheduling new patient appointments, presenting treatment plans, and processing payments. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, customer-service focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, and other chairside duties Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control protocols Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed Provide post-operative instructions to patients Ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
Administrative Duties:
Answer phone calls and schedule new patient appointments Greet and check in patients; verify insurance and collect necessary documentation Present treatment plans clearly and confidently to patients, helping them understand their options and costs Process patient payments and explain financial policies Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant certification or license as required by state law Experience with both chairside assisting and front office tasks preferred Radiology certification Familiarity with dental software CPR/BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Why Join Us?
