SATURDAY'S ONLY NEEDED 8-2 PM
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant , where your expertise will help create a positive and efficient environment for patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Operate electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Manage patient flow as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring efficient communication between staff and patients. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control procedures and OSHA guidelines for safety. Support the use of advanced technology such as 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics in general dentistry and specialized treatments. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Knowledge of medical coding, medical documentation, and managing medical records is preferred. Certification or training in X-ray technology and radiography is required or highly advantageous. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and the use of dental technology such as 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics.
