Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical documentation. Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean, organized dental environment. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team through four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed and managing medical records for comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic for managing medical documentation and records. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support the dental team's collaborative efforts.
