This role is essential in delivering high-quality care and ensuring a smooth, comfortable experience for both pediatric and general dentistry patients. The ideal candidate will be skilled in chairside assistance, knowledgeable in dental software, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring strict adherence to infection control and aseptic protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays in compliance with safety regulations. Accurately manage patient records, including documentation, medical coding, and HIPAA compliance. Use EMR systems such as Open Dental or Oryx for scheduling and patient data management. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary. Create a welcoming, calming environment for pediatric patients during procedures. Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and manage inventory of supplies. Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure efficient patient scheduling and flow. Qualifications Prior experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and specialties (e.g., prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics). Proficiency in Dentrix , Open Dental , Oryx or similar dental software. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families. Strong grasp of infection control and sterilization procedures. Why Join Us?
