In this vital role, you will support our skilled dentists by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment. Your energetic and proactive approach will help us deliver top-tier endodontic care while fostering a positive experience for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your dental assisting skills within a specialized practice focused on root canal therapy and complex dental treatments. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for endodontic procedures, including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment. Assist dentists during root canal treatments, endodontic surgeries, and other complex dental procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Monitor vital signs of pediatric and adult patients before procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout visits. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting surfaces, and adhering to OSHA guidelines. Support administrative tasks including dental reception duties, scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient records in Epic or similar systems. Educate patients on dental terminology, treatment plans, post-procedure care, and the importance of infection control practices. Assist with general dentistry procedures when needed, applying knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to support comprehensive patient care. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred . Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and medical coding ensures compliance with healthcare standards. Understanding of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and the use of medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting while maintaining excellent patient rapport . Certification in X-ray technology or if not we will pay for your certification class.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
