Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and confidence. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist team and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to strict infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience supporting pediatric patients preferred. Certification or training in chairside assisting, medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic medical imaging techniques is highly desirable.
