In this energetic role, you will support dentists in delivering efficient, high-quality treatments while ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and clinical assistance will help create a welcoming environment where smiles are transformed every day. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting with general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and dental charts within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions to foster a positive experience. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing the dental receptionist duties, and verifying insurance information using medical coding standards. Maintain a sterile environment through aseptic techniques and proper infection control practices while demonstrating thorough knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with children is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
