Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, patient care, and clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional dental care while utilizing advanced technology and adhering to strict safety and privacy standards. The Registered Dental Assistant will support dentists in delivering high-quality treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining efficient clinic workflows. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are followed. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately within electronic health records (EHR) system Dentrix. Manage medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Provide chairside assistance during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas in accordance with infection control standards. Assist with administrative duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing medical records. Keep up-to-date with advancements in dental technology such as medical imaging devices and 3D scanners to enhance patient diagnostics. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Familiarity with Dentrix. Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and maintaining medical records is essential. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques required for safe clinical operations. Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure required.
