Overview
THIS POSITION WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL JULY 2026.
The position is Monday- Wednesday from 7:00am to 4:30 pm. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional patient care. The hygiene assistant's primary responsibility is to provide assistance and support to the Hygienists. Responsibilities Assist the Hygienists in prepping the patient's chair with the needed instruments and supplies. Clean the chairs and rooms following treatment in preparation for the next patient. Expanded duties assistants may perform duties as required by the Hygienists or Doctor.Assist in patient flow:
seat patients, assist as needed throughout the appointment, walk patients to the front desk for check out upon completion of their appointment. One of the main goals of the hygiene assistant is to help minimize wait times. Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of all Hygiene operatories. Obtaining x-rays as needed Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA. Work as a team with all other staff members. Pay based on experience. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental systems, and medical documentation practices. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
