Summary This position is assigned to the Dental Service at the Atlanta VA Healthcare System located in Decatur

• Georgia. The incumbent performs dental assisting duties of increased scope
• complexity
• and variety that reflect an advanced clinical assignment. He/she applies highly developed clinical skills and carry out the full range of duties associated with routine patient care
• working under indirect supervision from the Supervisory Dental Assistant or the treating dentist.

Basic Requirements:

Certification of Radiologic Competence:

(a) Successful completion of the Dental Radiation Health and Safety Examination administered by the Dental Assisting National Board
