Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support our dentist in providing top-quality treatments, ensure smooth clinic operations, and create a welcoming environment for patients. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient care, and clinical support will help us maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental chairs, and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready. Take dental X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and monitoring vital signs during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal health outcomes. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting duties is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental is essential for managing medical records efficiently. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with children is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately and safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Familiarity with coding for dental procedures and documentation. >>Preference will be given to bilingual applicants fluent in Russian or Spanish. >>Please consider your commute to Sandy Springs before applying, as reliable and timely arrival is essential for success in this role. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with clinical experience.

$15.00 - $30.00 per hour
