In this energetic role, you will support dentists and hygienists by providing chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties Assist dentists chair side during various procedures in a general dentistry practice ensuring efficient workflow. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials following strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners, maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental histories. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient comfort measures before, during, and after treatments. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, checking patients out and maintaining organized medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures and scans accurately while adhering to safety standards; certification in radiography preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain dental terminology clearly to patients of all ages. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices related to dental care. Team player attitude with a patient first focus.
