Job Description

Job Summary Private practice with a single dentist recently expanded into a new office and additional staff is needed. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of dental assisting, including chairside support, patient management, and familiarity with dental software systems. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take digital X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records and documentation in Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Perform vital signs checks and assist with medical imaging as needed. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use. Collaborate with the admin staff to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is required. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management. Must have strong organizational skills. Familiarity with Eaglesoft would be great. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is beneficial. Ability to utilize 3D scanners for imaging purposes is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control procedures. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
