Full Time Dental Assistant Wanted! Minimum of 2 Years of DA Experience! Monday through Thursday! No Weekends! Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of the practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining high standards of infection control, and delivering comprehensive support to our dentists and patients. This position offers an engaging environment where professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication are highly valued. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures. Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays using appropriate techniques and equipment such as 3D scanners when applicable. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging procedures as needed for comprehensive patient assessments. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient flow efficiently. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall oral health. Requirements Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray procedures, and infection control practices. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation. Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with medical imaging procedures confidently. Strong understanding of aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and infection prevention protocols. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Certification in radiography or X-ray certification required; additional training in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is advantageous. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
