Dental Asst 3

Under general supervision, assists the dentist and/or dental hygienist in chairside dentistry in the clinic. Assist dentist and dental hygienist in management of a medical and dental emergencies Takes x-rays as prescribed by dentist Instructs a client in oral hygiene Instructs a client in oral hygiene and plaque control programs Prepares clients, sterilizes instruments, sets up instrumental trays, prepares materials, assists dentist during dental treatment and cleans room Assists with all aspects of sealants, dental health education programs, and health fairs Assists with administrative duties of Oral Health Program including intake process, scheduling appointments, and billing Records treatment information in client records. Follows clinical guidelines of record documentation and HIPPA regulations High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in a dental setting; or a Vocational/Technical degree in dental assisting from an accredited college and one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant; or one (1) year experience at the lower level Dental Billingual English/Spanish preferred.
