Dental Assistant coronal polish Confidential Rome, GA 30165 $18.00 - $28.32 an hour - Full-time $18.00 - $28.32 an hour - Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality dental care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The Dental Assistant will support dentists in delivering comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment following aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) accurately while adhering to safety protocols for radiation exposure. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and proper use of dental appliances. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and managing medical imaging equipment effectively. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed. Stay current with advancements in dental technology including 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. Proficiency with dental software systems Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Certification in X-ray technology and knowledge of infection control protocols are required. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience in chairside assisting using aseptic techniques and maintaining a sterile environment is essential. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and operate medical imaging equipment confidently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
