Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant specializing in general dentistry, working Thursday through Saturday in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care, assist with dental procedures, and ensure smooth clinic operations. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and efficiency. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards to ensure patient safety. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring accurate medical coding within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to support comprehensive care. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation within EMR systems like Epic or Dentrix. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control guidelines and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA standards.
