Dental Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, strong organizational skills, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize 3D scanners for capturing precise dental impressions. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Perform basic laboratory tasks such as making temporary crowns or assisting with prosthodontics. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including medical coding. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Qualifications Completion of a Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is advantageous. Experience in medical imaging techniques is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Previous experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial but not mandatory.
