Thomson Family Dental is seeking a friendly, motivated, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. We are a modern, patient-focused dental office dedicated to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and positive environment. While previous dental assisting experience is preferred , we are also open to training the right person. Whether you're an experienced dental assistant looking for a new opportunity or someone interested in beginning a rewarding career in dentistry, you'll find a supportive team committed to helping you succeed. What You'll Do Welcome and assist patients, helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Set up, maintain, and organize instruments, materials, and equipment Sterilize and process instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines Take dental radiographs (or be willing to obtain certification if required) Provide patients with oral hygiene, treatment, and post-operative care instructions Assist with laboratory tasks as needed Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked Support fellow team members to ensure an exceptional patient experience What We're Looking For Prior dental assisting experience is preferred but not required Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software Commitment to providing outstanding patient care Preferred Qualifications Dental assisting experience Completion of a Dental Assisting Program Radiology certification Coronal polishing certification EFDA certification Experience with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software Why Join Thomson Family Dental?
