Dental Assistant for General Practice

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help ensure excellent patient care.

Duties:

• Prepare patients for dental procedures. Set up procedure trays and clean up operatories.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
• Take digital dental X-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
• Perform various office tasks as needed
• Assist Dental Hygienist and office manager when needed

Skills:

The following skills are required or considered beneficial for this role:

• Good Communicator
• Proficiency in X-Ray procedures
• Experience in dental assisting
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
• Ability to take vital signs accurately
• Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques in a dental setting
• Ability to manage and maintain dental records efficiently
