Job Description
River Ridge Orthodontics is interviewing for an orthodontic assistant position. Existing dental assistant or orthodontic assistant experience is preferred but not required. For those who are not trained, this opportunity begins as a paid orthodontic assistant trainee without any of the typical tuition costs that would otherwise cost thousands of dollars at a school. Plus, you get paid while you train! A successful trainee will subsequently be hired on as a full time (4 days/week) orthodontic assistant at River Ridge Orthodontics. The trainee position pays $15/hr and upon passing the required radiology exam and will earn $18/hr with the possibility of earning an additional $1/hr incentive if willing to join the emergency phone rotation with associated responsibilities. For those with prior dental assisting or orthodontic assisting experience the pay will depend on the experience. The position is a Monday through Thursday career during normal business hours with all Fridays, weekends and six Federal holidays off. This position earns two weeks of paid personal and sick time off during the first year, 6 paid holidays off, a Christmas bonus equal to one week's worth of pay, an automatic 3% employer sponsored 401k plan with no matching required (must work 6 months to qualify to participate in the plan and stay employed at least two years to complete the vesting period to keep 401k benefits), and monthly performance based bonuses. There is a possibility of an annual bonus depending on how the business performs. Long-term employees may qualify for no-cost orthodontic care for themselves and later eligible spouses and/or dependents too when committing to remain employed with River Ridge Orthodontics full-time throughout the orthodontic treatment. Must have completed a high school education or equivalent and be 17 years of age or older. Ideal candidates will have a bubbly personality with good work ethic such as punctuality, reliability, and work well with others.
