Job Description

Registered Dental Assistant Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry is looking to add a Registered Dental Assistant to our team! We are looking for a team player who loves kids! Ideal candidates are flexible, reliable, outgoing, friendly and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment! This would be a great opportunity for an experienced RDA to work alongside a growing team in a modern facility with the new technology and equipment! We will support the training and development of recent graduates. This position is for Monday-Thursday and every other Friday. We offer competitive compensation along with a four day work week to help our team members spend more time with their families. Compensation will be based on experience and skills but will include opportunities for bonuses or incentives.

Responsibilities for Registered Dental Assistant Make patients feel welcome at Waterloo Pediatric Dentistry Prepare and ensure patients comfort for treatment or recall Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed Capturing digital x-rays and images using phosphor plates Sterilizing instruments according to regulations Provide oral hygiene care instructions and post-operative instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records Skills for Registered Dental Assistant Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Must enjoy working with children Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations required by OSHA Good computer skills High school diploma; licensed as a dental assistant in the state of Iowa CPR certified Additional certification or training is an asset
