Pediatric Dental Assistant

Team members at our office are always growing and learning new things, and assisting with unique pediatric procedures (such as infant frenectomies, intraosseous injections, IV sedations, etc.). Duties Assist the pediatric dentists during various pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, operative appointments, consultations, etc. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines and regulations Make dental X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and appointment notes Educate children and parents on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Support patient privacy and confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations Support our administrative team as needed by answering phones and scheduling appointments Guide children's behavior to help them build confidence and have an exceptional dental experience Candidates must be dependable, friendly and thorough Experience Training and previous experience as a chairside dental assistant (1+ year) is required Previous experience working in pediatric dentistry is appreciated Current BLS, Jurisprudence, Radiography, Infection Control, OSHA, HIPAA training is required Nitrous certification is recommended It is easy and confidential to apply.
