In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient care. Perform chairside assisting to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take dental X-rays while adhering to strict infection control protocols. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records with precision. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate clearly with team members and patients, ensuring understanding across all levels of care. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry practices or pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and infection control practices is essential. Familiarity with Eaglesoft enhances workflow efficiency. Understanding of HIPAA regulations safeguards patient privacy while managing sensitive medical records effectively. Enthusiasm for ongoing learning is valued highly.
