Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools Manage patient records accurately within practice management software (PMS) system Open Dental while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and maintaining organized medical records and documentation Apply knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding to ensure precise communication and recordkeeping across all clinical activities Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and infection control practices Experience with PMS system Open Dental for efficient documentation and record management Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality at all times Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices Familiarity with general dentistry procedures Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and assistants while providing compassionate patient care This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dental assisting while making a positive impact on patients' oral health.
