Job Description

Dental Assistant Looking to add a Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care and brings a positive, team-oriented attitude to our privately owned practice in beautiful downtown Batavia. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn, you'll be supported in a collaborative environment where hard work, growth, and a positive atmosphere are valued. Join our growing practice and become part of a team that truly enjoys working together! Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities (Willing to train the right person—no experience required!) Supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials. Performs procedures in compliance. Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Readies patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, draping patient, and taking digital radiographs. Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. Assembles instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instruments. Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth. Pouring, trimming, polishing study casts, occlusal guards, and whitening trays. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions. Documents dental care services by charting in patient records and working closely with the Dr to provide accurate treatment plans. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. Open to contribute to team effort by accomplishing projects as needed. Can confidently work with multiple doctors in the practice. [Work Hours & Benefits] 35-40 hour work week. PTO accrual for the first year. Holidays paid after 90 days. 401k available after 1 year. Hourly wage based on experience level.
