Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice! As a key part of our clinical team, you'll work closely with the doctor to deliver high-quality orthodontic care while making patients feel comfortable, informed, and excited about their smile journey. You'll be part of a supportive, fast-paced, and energetic team that loves what we do — transforming smiles and changing lives every day. Responsibilities Welcome patients to the clinic and help them feel relaxed and comfortable in the chair Assist the orthodontist with all clinical procedures including bonding, adjustments, scanning, impressions, sterilization, and debonding Take high-quality digital photographs, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and how to care for their orthodontic appliances Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Track inventory and help order clinical supplies when needed Document patient charts accurately and thoroughly Communicate effectively with patients and parents about treatment progress and next steps Support the front desk team as needed for smooth patient flow and scheduling Present treatment plans and financial arrangements confidently, when needed Adapt and grow with the practice as we continue to expand and improve our systems Provide exceptional, friendly service — every patient, every visit! Skills Prior experience as a dental or orthodontic assistant preferred, but we're happy to train the right person Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures, particularly in orthodontics is preferred. Proficiency in using Cloud9 software for efficient practice management is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Excellent communication and organizational skills A calm, reassuring presence that helps patients feel at ease Tech-savvy and open to learning new systems (we love efficiency!)
