The ideal candidate will have experience in both roles or can be crossed trained to maximize office needs and employee hours. Reception Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in/check-out process. Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits. Review documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments for and follow-ups. Utilize dental software systems such as Open Dental for patient management (experience preferred but not required). Assist with dental coding and billing inquiries as needed. Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional manner. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. We can train motivated individuals Proficiency in using office systems and software, particularly Open Dental is helpful but training is available. Excellent documentation review skills to ensure accuracy in patient records. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental administration is a plus. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of service and comfort during their visits. Dental Assistant Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Help Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups. Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with dental records management systems such as Open Dental highly desirable but not required. Training is available Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and technologies in dentistry. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental assisting is a plus.
