•Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Perform vital signs measurements and assess patient comfort levels before procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to foster understanding and cooperation. Maintain a sterile environment by following strict infection control procedures and aseptic techniques in line with industry standards. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation for accurate recordkeeping. Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations using skills in dental assisting, medical coding, and medical records management. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency in dental assisting duties including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and handling dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is advantageous for efficient record management. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and medical terminology is required to ensure safe patient care. Experience with medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners or digital X-ray systems will be considered a strong asset. Certification in radiography or dental assisting from accredited programs is desirable; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance and infection prevention is encouraged. Ability to work effectively in pediatric dentistry settings or with special needs patients enhances your candidacy for this role.
