This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing front desk operations. As a key member of our clinic, you will ensure smooth daily workflows, deliver outstanding customer service, and support clinical functions with efficiency and professionalism. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for from their first visit to ongoing treatment. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and manage appointment scheduling using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft. Conduct insurance verification, authorization, and billing processes including medical collection activities and accurate documentation review. Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, handle patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment reminders via phone or electronic communication. Maintain comprehensive dental and medical records using EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; ensure all documentation aligns with HIPAA standards. Process payments, perform medical billing including CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding (International Classification of Diseases), and Meditech/Medisoft billing procedures accurately. Support front desk operations by filing patient records, managing office supplies, and ensuring the clinic environment remains organized and welcoming. Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in medical administrative support and front desk management. Strong computer skills including familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, Medicare regulations, and health information management practices. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations. Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and effective typing skills (including 10-key typing). Ability to handle medical scheduling efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and insurance verification processes. Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment protocols is advantageous; a background in dental terminology and clinic experience will set candidates apart.
