practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office and maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials in accordance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications to enhance patient experience. Ensure compliance with all relevant medical terminology and dental systems to facilitate effective communication within the team. Support general dentistry procedures including cleanings, fillings, and extractions as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures is essential. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is required. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems is advantageous. Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
