Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Record medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
  • Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
  • Assist with medical coding and billing procedures
  • Work with patients to ensure their comfort during dental procedures
Requirements:
  • Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Xray and Dental software, Curve or other practice management systems
  • Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records, and medical coding procedures
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
