Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Record medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Assist with medical coding and billing procedures
- Work with patients to ensure their comfort during dental procedures
Requirements:
- Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Xray and Dental software, Curve or other practice management systems
- Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records, and medical coding procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
