Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and be a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists and hygienists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a positive experience for every patient. Duties Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix Ascend ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support safe treatment planning and delivery Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort during procedures Support infection control practices by adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean, safe environment in accordance with OSHA standards Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend for managing medical records and documentation Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures is highly desirable Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist or front desk support are beneficial for patient interactions Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical excellence!
